Caucus for new county coroner tomorrow |
Title (Max 100 Characters)
Warrick County will soon have a new coroner.
The Republican Committee is holding a caucus to fill the vacancy left by former Coroner, Eddie Goff.
Goff resigned last month after accepted a new job in another state.
The caucus is very simple and straight-forward.
Each candidate will get two minutes to address the caucus and another two minutes for questions and answers.
59 district voters will cast their ballots after hearing from each candidate.
The four candidates are:
- John Greenwell, Newburgh
- Sarah Seaten, Boonville
- Mike Wittenbraker, Newburgh
- Stephen Schmidt, Newburgh
All four declared their intent to run before the 9:00 A.M. deadling on Wednesday.
If there isn't a majority vote after the first ballot is cast, the candidate receiving the lowest number of votes will be eliminated and representatives will vote again.
