Price Less Foods opens in former Buehler's location | Business
Price Less Foods continues to grow its cost-plus grocery store in the greater Evansville area – this time with a new location in Newburgh. The new store opened Thursday at 3888 State Highway 261. Formerly Buehler’s IGA, the 37,000 square foot facility has undergone major renovations to make way for the new store concept.
At Price Less Foods, products are priced at the store’s cost and the customer pays a flat 10 percent above cost.
“When we use product cost to determine the selling price, it results in consistent low prices on all items in the store,” said Mark Hopf, district manager for Houchens Industries, parent company of Price Less Foods. “Customers have told us that this store concept has eliminated their need to bargain shop and travel to multiple retailers to find the products they like at prices they can afford.”
In addition to an extensive selection of name brand and private label products, Price Less Foods features a full variety of fresh produce, meats and in-house deli and bakery.
Since the first Price Less Foods opened in the Evansville area January 31, a total of 75 new jobs have been added at the combined three locations.
The Newburgh Price Less Foods will be open daily 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
