Warrick County hoping to lure business to industrial park | Business
Warrick County officials are hoping they'll be successful in luring a major employer to the area.
According to our media partners at Warrick Publishing, an unnamed company is considering property in the North Warrick Industrial Park. The county council recently voted on a $1.3 million infrastructure and incentive project that would be paid for out of the county's Economic Development Income Tax fund.
The county council also voted 7-0 for a 10-year tax phase-in for the company if it so chooses to relocate here.
Warrick County Economic Development Director Larry Taylor said they're not naming the business yet because a community outside the state is also tryinig to land the company's business.
If successful, the newbusiness could mean 300 new jobs.
