Boonville Elks Cancer Auction breaks record | Community Spirit

The annual Boonville Elks Cancer Auction raised more than $12,000 for cancer research.

Our media partners at Warrick Publishing report that it was the most successful Elks auction to date.

Organizer Wes Posey says they reaised $2,000 more than in 2012 and more than doubled what was brought in just two years ago.

Every local business Posey approached for donations gave something to the auction.

"I want to thank the people who showed up, the people who bid, I want to thank every merchant in town who donated," he said.
