Bone marrow registry planned in honor of girl with cancer | Events
She's a leukemia warrior we've told you about before on our 14 News community websites - Evalynn Willis, now two years old, has been fighting since she was just five months old.
Her family has made dozens of trips for treatments at St. Jude in Memphis, as well many trips to Louisville.
Doctors say Evalynn herself does not need a bone marrow transplant at this point, but there are many others just like her who do. Of those needing a transplant, many are simply waiting to find a match to save their lives.
That's where you could help.
Evalynn's family and other volunteers are holding to two upcoming blood and bone marrow registry drives.
The first is March 21 at First Christian Church in Newburgh.
Hours for the event are from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.. The address is 4544 S.R. 261 in Newburgh.
The second drive is planned for May 18th at McCullough Grove Baptist Church (Evalynn's home church). Details on that drive will come later.
