Flooding causes a Warrick Co. boat ramp to nearly float away | News
WARRICK CO., IN (WFIE)- Flooding in Warrick County caused the boat ramp at the Old Lock and Dams to nearly float away.
Officials say the dock is held on by steel cables and they had been watching it as the river continued to rise.
The street and fire departments checked it Tuesday morning and it was hanging on by just one stretched cable.
The ramp to the dock is still in the water and the dock will sit at the top of the hill until the water levels drop.
Officials say the river will crest Wednesday at just over 35 feet.
