You can support the Castle High School Library by purchasing books from Barnes & Noble online December 12-18 and in the store off Green River Road on Wednesday, December 12.

Community Foundation Announces Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Applications now online and liv

The Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship, fully funded by Lilly Endowment, is administered locally by the Warrick County Community Foundation. Two scholars are awarded the scholarship, which covers four years of undergraduate study at an accredited Indiana college or university and a $900 allowance for required fees, books, and equipment. Awards are made by the Community Foundation following a competitive process.

All awards are made without regard to race, creed, color, sex, religion, or national origin. Two alternate awards are provided by the C. Richard and Verna Louise Johnson Foundation.

Warrick Co. Schools looking for substitute teachers

The Warrick County School Corporation is currently seeking applicants for substitute teachers. Licensed substitutes earn $60.00/day and licensed teachers earn $70.00/day.

Applicants must have at least 30 hours of college credit to qualify for a substitute teaching license. Scheduling is very flexible. Substitute teachers can select specific days of the week to work, specific grade levels to substitute in, and even specific schools or districts to work in.

Boonville graduate establishes major scholarship for BHS senior

Boonville High School is announcing the first annual Bill Mohler Education Scholarship, worth up to $40,000, which will benefit a deserving Boonville High School senior who is planning post-secondary education at any accredited technical or vocational school, college or university in the United States.

The scholarship, the first of its kind at Boonville, will include an initial award up to $10,000 to cover the net cost of tuition, fees and on-campus housing and is renewable for up to three additional consecutive years for a potential payout of $40,000.

Castle High School student, Cole Barnett has been named as a 2013 Riley Champion Presented by Kroger.

Riley Champions is a program that honors patients from Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health who have inspired communities with their bravery and commitment to help others while overcoming medical challenges.
