Dealers wanted for Huntingburg's annual antique show

The Huntingburg Chamber of Commerce is still looking for dealers for its annual summer antique show.

The 19th annual event is set for Saturday, August 17th at Huntingburg Event Center. The times of the Show are Saturday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm EST.

Lakewood Park Christian stops Tecumseh in Class A title game

In a matchup of the last two Class A state champions, Lakewood Park Christian earned its second straight Class A softball state championship by defeating Tecumseh 10-3 at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis Saturday. 

The Panthers wasted no time, jumping out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning.  A double by junior Jaclyn Delagrange scored senior teammate Courtney Sliger followed by another double, this time by senior Suzanne Grimm scored Delagrange.

The score remained 3-0 until the bottom of the fourth when Lakewood Park picked up two more quick runs as senior Nicole Faur and junior Hannah Priskorn scored for the Panthers.  The gap widened in the fifth inning as Lakewood Park tacked on four more on scores from Grimm, sophomore Hannah Sutton, Faur, and Priskorn.

Perry County Farmers Market opens Saturday

It’s a new season for the Perry County farmers market.  The twice weekly event will kick off Saturday in a new location.

This year’s markets will take place Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings outside the Tell City Depot at 333 7th St.

You can come by Saturdays beginning at 8 a.m. and lasting until items are sold out or as long as vendors want to stay.  On Wednesday, the market will open at 2 p.m.

Warrick County Farmers Market now set to open June 8; seeking vendors

The Warrick County Farmers Market will kick off Saturday June 8 at 7:30 am in the parking lot of the Boonville Public Library in Boonville.  The date is a couple of weeks later than originally planned.

The primary purpose of the Warrick County Farmers Market is to provide customers an opportunity to purchase locally grown, fresh quality farm products and locally produced crafts from local producers and crafters. Last year organizers say they had 15 vendors with a variety of products including: sweet corn, peppers, tomatoes, peaches, blackberries, strawberries, onions, cabbage, lettuce, peas, bean, okra, sweet potatoes, squash, cucumbers, zucchini, pumpkins, gourds, watermelons, cantaloupe, homemade jams, homemade breads, snacks, farm fresh beef and pork,  farm fresh eggs, homemade soaps and floral crafts, pottery crafts and more.

St. Mary’s Warrick will hold a one-day sale Tuesday, April 23rd from 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. in the main lobby of the hospital, located at 1116 Millis Avenue in Boonville. Proceeds will benefit the St. Mary’s Warrick Auxiliary.

Items will be sold for up to 80% off the retail price, including:

•             Rings, watches, and other jewelry items

•             Scarves, belts, purses, sunglasses, and other accessories

The annual Scales Lake Craft Fair and Flea Market will be here soon.  Booths are still available and if you’re coming to shop, there is free admission to the park.

April 21 - 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
