New ordinance approves horses to live in Newburgh

New ordinance approves horses to live in Newburgh

A brand new ordinance has just passed in Newburgh; one that allows horses to live in town limits.

Newburgh Town Manager Lori Buehlman tells 14 News that the town council passed the ordinance with a split vote. It allows horses to live in some parts of town.

In order to comply, the property must be re-zoned to be either RL or agricultural.

Buehlman says the ordinance passed because of the efforts of one local resident.
